Our client are a leading construction company with multiple sites across the UK. Due to recent growth within the company they are now looking to recruit a HR Assistant to support the HR team based at Preston Brook.

The main purpose of the role is to support the recruitment, HR and internal communication functions as part of the Human Resources Department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing the “Labour” email inbox ensuring that all emails are responded to and escalated where necessary in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with agencies for labour procurement establishing availability and rates to ensure that the company achieves the best value.
  • Ensure new starters are registered on the Clockright system and that timesheets are downloaded on a weekly basis and distributed accordingly.
  • Review agency T&C’s on an annual basis to ensure best value.
  • Upload new permanent vacancies on to the Recruitment + portal
  • Administration of the induction process for all new starters.
  • Prepare contracts of employment and offer letters for all new starters.
  • Provide support to the Recruitment Manager as and when required.
  • Update social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In and the companies own website.
  • Work with the Planning and Commercial teams to ensure local employment targets are achieved for each project to meet requirements in planning agreements.
  • Absence management administration
  • Any other tasks as required

The ideal candidate will be a proven HR administrator/ assistant and ideally of worked in a high volume recruitment process.
