Our clients are a leading International bank and due to recent growth within the company they are now looking to recruit an experienced Operational Risk Officer to join there Northwich office.

The Banks Operational Risk Management Policy, is to fully understand all the risks to which it is exposed and to proactively manage and mitigate these wherever they arise. Working in Operational Risk provides an opportunity for an individual who is looking for a challenging and varied position, working closely with all areas of the Bank, and if achieved successfully could bring fantastic career opportunities.

Main Duties:

  • Reconciling accounts and investigating any outstanding items.
  • Undertaking risk event investigations and managing and rectifying actions through to completion.
  • Identifying emerging risks and ensuring these are reported
  • Providing risk management support and guidance to the business.
  • Managing documentation of risk processes and procedures.

Person/ Experience required:

  • Proven experience in Operational Risk
  • Problem solving and excellent analytical skills are essential and you will be a resilient individual who is calm under pressure
  • Able to meet deadlines and organise workload according to changing priorities
  • Ability to undertake a variety of analysis and maintain accuracy and quality.
  • Strong report writing skills
  • A good attention to detail, adaptability, a keenness to learn.
  • A good team player, capable of working in a fast paced pressured environment.
  • Ability to build professional relationships effectively, both in the immediate team and wider business

Key Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Good communication skills (Written and verbal)
  • Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail.
  • Methodical and accurate.
  • Understands how to treat confidential information
  • Flexible and able to prioritise a changing to do list.
  • Friendly and helpful, trustworthy and reliable
  • Good Numeracy and analytical ability.
