Business Development Executive

Our client is a Manchester Based leading sporting name and due to recent growth and investment into the company they are looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Executive to work within the Conferencing and Events team. The primary purpose of the role is to maximise sales revenue and profitability for the Conferencing and Events team, your key accountabilities for this are:

• To develop the current business and identify new sales opportunities for Conference and Events.
• To maximise C&E revenue and profit through diary management and up selling.
• Ensure all enquiries receive standised proposal, highlighting a clear understanding of the client’s event and specifics minimum chargeable numbers.
• Pro-actively chase all existing enquiries and provisional bookings
• Communicate confirmed business to the Sales Agent in order for a contract to be produced.
• Deliver outstanding customer service
• Be fully conversant with all availability in order to maximise sales for the department.
• Together with the Sales Manager and Conference and Events Manager have a planned and strategic approach to whom and how we target new business.
• Be fully conversant with the department’s budget and targets.
