Due to recent growth of the company, our client are looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Manager to take overall responsibility for the delivery of compliance services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities within the company to improve and build on a group wide culture of compliance within the company.

Your key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • To proactively review and enhance compliance processes and procedures as well as design ways to improve them.
  • Monitoring and managing all operational and regulatory risks adhering to all changes in legislation and ensuring that the company remains compliant at all times.
  • Designing, implementing and maintaining the regulatory compliance approach whilst creating and overseeing the Compliance Monitoring Programme including analysis of business risk, interpretation and application of FSA principles and standards, other regulatory requirements and evaluation and documentation of findings and reports.
  • Manage and motivate the compliance team to ensure that relevant regulatory risks to the business are identified, controlled, assessed, managed and monitored. To provide support and guidance to the Compliance team and share best practice.
  • To review, approve and sign off on all marketing material, company documentation/ letters and compliance training materials on behalf of the company. To record and monitor reviews and approvals of all such material on the central log.
  • Additional duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance and possess the following Skills/ attributes:

  • Experience of working within a similar regulatory compliance position within the financial services industry.
  • An expert knowledge of:
  1. FSA Principles
  2. Consumer Credit Legislation
  3. Anti Money Laundering legislation
  4. Data protection legislation
  • Complaints handling and court/ litigation experience is advantageous.

You will have a positive attitude with strong people skills and be degree level educated with  legal, compliance or Audit qualifications.
