Job: Trade Finance Officer

Our clients are a local international bank and due to growth of the company they are now looking to recruit an experienced Trade Finance Officer to work in there Back Office team based in Northwich, Cheshire.

The ideal candidate will be interested in Trade Finance Operations and will be adaptable and prepared to take on a challenging and varied role within a rapidly developing business. You will have a dedicated and committed attitude with a keen attention to detail and you will be responsible for the administration of all operational aspects of trade finance products.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/ attributes:

• You must have the aptitude to take on board technical knowledge of letters of credit, collections, guarantees, standby letters of credit and back to back letters of credit. (Issuing, amending, maintaining and cancelling both domestic and foreign Guarantees and Standby Letters of Credit, in accordance with regulations and customer requirement whilst adhering to strict deadlines.
• Assisting with the resolution of corporate customer queries and concerns, as well as liaising with and providing advice to internal Corporate Relationship Managers.
• Develop the knowledge and compliance of rules and procedures with regard to country sanctions and money laundering.
• Support colleagues that are transacting with other banks’ (SWIFT) and maintaining good banking relationships.
• Assist with foreign and sterling payments (CHAPS), account reconciliation and monitoring currency risk.

Key Skills include

• Keen eye for detail
• Accurate and timely data inputting and administration
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
• Knowledge of Loan IQ and Swift Alliance would be advantageous
