Top Gear: Tired and Boring?

Firstly, I am a massive fan of Top Gear and have been for as long as i can remember. Indeed my last car choice (SLK55AMG) was partly down to Top Gear.

In the last series the current format of Top Gear was showing signs of being old and tired. Thus giving the show the opportunity to reinvent itself, something the producers havent done. Whilst is still has a few scatterred moments of greatness, the spark has well and truly gone. So much so i am now recording the show so i can skip through the boring bits.

Talking of boring bits, a star in a reasonably priced car, what more do i have to say……………Does anyone car how fast Will.I.Am (thats william for the gramatically correct) or Joey from friends can drive a car? Fast fast forward.

The Top Gear appeal for me is the relationship between the shows presenters, the banter is what makes the show so worth watching. So lets cut the pre-scripted blurb and let the guys shoot the breeze.

Oh……filming the car chase in the last episode for the Sweeney. A four year old child could have done a better job than Richard Hammond. If your going to take a serious challenge on do it to the best of your ability, if it goes wrong and no doubt it will when you dont know what your doing, then brilliant, but lets not be stupid and go out of your way to be a knob.
