Part-Time Bookkeeper – Chester (Office-Based)

Flexible Hours | 16–22 Hours per Week

We’re working with an ambitious and fast-growing financial services business based in Chester, currently seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and detail-driven individual looking for flexibility, while still playing a key role within a dynamic and evolving organisation.


The Opportunity

Our client has quickly established itself as a recognised name within the financial services sector, operating across international markets and multiple asset classes. With continued growth and investment, they are now looking to strengthen their finance function with a reliable and organised Bookkeeper.

You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external accountants, helping to ensure the smooth and accurate running of day-to-day financial operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Input invoices, receipts, and expenses into Xero
  • Carry out monthly bank and ledger reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and organised financial records
  • Support the preparation of financial reports
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries
  • Assist with month-end processes

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience using Xero (essential)
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage your own workload
  • Professional and discreet when handling financial information

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • AAT or similar accounting qualification
  • Experience within financial services or SMEs
  • Understanding of financial reports such as P&L and balance sheets

Working Hours & Location

  • 16–22 hours per week with flexibility on how these are worked
  • 100% office-based in Chester
  • Applicants must be within a commutable distance
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
